FRIENDS FOREVER

The most associated word with our lives as per me is “Friend”. All our friends were strangers until we met them for the first time, and gradually as the time passed by we became Friends (good friends :-) ).  The degree of closeness and the level of connections in our interactions with our friends definitely depend on us (that is our own choice).

To me friendship is a relation that TWO Humans share and treasure. The extent of this sharing and caring depends on the individuals and can not be explained with words. Friendship isn’t just about sharing similar thoughts, common grounds or feelings; rather it is an intense link which keeps you intact in all ups and downs. It is not just about having fun together, it also means to share your sorrows and grief’s. It is one relation which is built upon the pillars of honesty where you needn’t hide your mistakes. It revolves upon the circle of understanding wherein there is no space for an explanation and a “sorry” or a “thank you”.

It is a life long commitment whereby you go side by side even when you are not needed. It is often said that silence speaks more than words and this is very true in regards to friendship: as a true friends will be able to read your mind even when you don’t speak…just through your eyes. True friendship exists only when there is “zero-level” of ego and “highest-level” of loyalty. It is that seed which gets nurtured and cultivates with help of each individuals contribution and the moments passing by……

Not that we meet such a person everyday in our life , but at some point of time we do meet them and feel complete with their embedded presence. At the same time, in the corner of our heart we wish that this GEM never gets astray from our life.

Recently , I came across a phrase “so-called-friends” , which according to one of my friend are “people whom we meet at some point in our lives spend some times together , share little happy moments and then this relations fades away as if it was never there and we live happily thereafter!!!!!” :x

I often say that I prefer friendships more than romantic relationships! My reason is that, in friendships, there are no “break ups” ; coz once friends we remain friends for ever without any terms & conditions :| . Friendships do have an end too :( . It ends when one refuses to listen, when one refuses to communicate, when one refuses to understand. But then, if you are true friends you have all rights to make your friend listen to you….. ;)

According to me : only a true friend can muster the courage to listen and understand based on the other’s perception. For me, a true friend chooses to look beyond  the assumed mistakes committed by the other. Instead, a true friend knows how to authenticate conjectures and elucidations in a fair, just, and rational way. Hence, true friendship would last more than a lifetime when each “friend” knows how to be a “real friend” at all times.

I  am proud to have  friends who I know are my “real friends”  and will always be there for me through all my highs and lows. :-) . I never forget one of my friends’ words, he says “ Even if I am busy and dont have time for you…..toh ek zor ka thappad lagana :P ….apne aap time nikal jayega….. ” :D

Thank you God for the amazing set of friends you have given me!!! And thank you for the special ways that I have got these friends (I may discuss this in some other post of mines ) ;)

MAMATA BAN..erree..Jee..!!

A traffic constable signals a taxi driver to stop as he was about to park his cab on the wrong side of the road near the High Court :-)  . As usual the cabbie did not bother to adhere to the constable and continued with what he was doing. Seeing his order not had been followed the constable went up to the taxi and tried to attach an iron clamp to one of the wheels. When the driver asked as to why he was doing so……the constable dragged out the driver – caught hold of his collar and gifted him with a slap which went on to hit him close to his eyes.

Now, this was enough for the people crossing by to gather around and see a telefilm (for free ofcourse!! :P )  which they didn’t knew would last for hours. :D . The cabbie was taken to a nearby medical pharmacy and aided. By this time the crowd had increased and started protesting in favour of the Taxi Driver demanding an apology from the constable. Then comes the real twist in the tale :) ……this crowd was now joined by a Trinamul Leader (a political party headed by Ms. Mamata Banerjee) and he demanded that the DC (deputy commissioner) of Police apologise to the crowd and order for the constable’s arrest.  Now arrived Ms. Mamata Banerjee (does she need an explanation  :| ) and added the fuel to the fire…..she too demanded for the apologies. As per her statement in the newspaper she said “Our party will take care of the driver’s medical needs and pay Rs. 50,000 as relief”. Now I don’t understand the need for this, I mean the taxi driver wasn’t hit that bad and even if he was the government would have done its best to take care of him. It was b’coz of this that the traffic was stopped and roads were blocked for over hours with help from Trinamul Leaders. :|  This blockade was withdrawn only after the DC apologized. :-(

Our didi never fails to make it to the top of the list – be it shouting at rallies, blocking roads, putting up strikes. I found this very interesting, infact very foolish and funny for a metro city like Kolkata getting hauled for over 5 hours.

“Basically I don’t understand what is it that she wants!! Is it a CAR, the SarKAR or she’s simply happy waging a WAR..!! ” very truely said by Ambika on her post on the same lady!!!! :|

Why did the Leaders had to come and create another chaos by their political self interest with such a normal case. Where do these people disappear when people are actually in need??? Where do they go when people sleeping on roads die b’coz of cold??? Where does their helping hand go when people don’t have homes to live????

It is a matter of shame, that the leaders whom we select and elect never forget to misuse their power and always help their own selves in the name of helping the common people………………

I wish we all had some kind of power to remove this kind of leadership from our city and keep it GREEN and pollution free   [ noise and dirt ;) u see ]

“Kyukiiiii……………………”

What in this world is immortal???

To be honest, nobody and nothing is immortal: everything that is on the earth has an end some day, in some way or the other. This goes not only for the living beings but also for the non living things. Like the machines made by humans cease to last forever!! They too have a life span only upto a certain limit. :-(

I came across something which I thought would never have an end :D , but most of us will be getting relief ; The show “Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” which came to air in the year 2000 (8 years on now )on the popular channel Star Plus is finally going to pull down its curtains. This is supposed to be the best news I read today :P (I dont have any personal problem, but this is what I felt). And, our very very old Baa will get some kind of rest in a way by not having to shoot for long tiring hours now ;)

It sounds a bit sarcastic…..but it is a fact that the so called script writers and the directors of the show have enough of talents to exaggerate a rubber even after it has left its elasticity  :-) long before :P

Let me bring to all of you in short (which is tough :D )  the story which revolves around the lady protagonist “Tulsi” , who has to be called the idol for most of our Indian ladies (at least  :-) ) who is full of patience , tears  ;) , intelligence , commitments , values , etc., etc. , etc. , etc………Enough of adjectives used for one person , so now lets move on to others – there is Baa, who is the grandmother of Mihir (Tulsi’s husband , please calculate Baa’s age ) then there is Savita (Mihir’s mother) , brothers and sisters, uncle – aunts of Mihir and their families.

This is a joint family where everyone is immensely  ;)   fond of each other and can do anything for each other’s happiness. Tulsi is a priest’s daughter who falls in love with Mihir Virani ( who belongs to a rich family) and they marry against most of them in the family but with blessings from Baa the bride is welcomed home who later on manages to win all hearts ( in family as well as audiences  :-) ). One day Mihir meets with a deadly accident and departs the world. Everyone in Shantiniketan ( that’s the name given to the house where Viranis live ) along with the audiences all over India ( and world :D ) mourn over the death of their favourite character Mihir ( then played by Amar Upadhyay ) with lots of protests and expressed anger in real life ( don’t know why people had to do this,  :|  as this was a part of the drama and it wasn’t any sort of reality). Then came a real twist in the tale where we ( the audiences ) found that Mihir wasn’t dead as he had escaped the deadly call, but one thing was sad that he had lost his memory and fell prey to another lady love Mandira and then somehow the luckiest Bahu in the world found out that her husband was still alive on the day she was tying knot with some other man . Well, this could have been the happiest ending where they lived happily ever after……

But, there was this generation leap ( suddenly) where everyone had grown up from Mihir- Tulsi (with a new face for an older Mihir played by some other actor) their children to Savita to Mandira , but Baa ( now the great grandmother of young adults) was still the same ( means look wise ;) , she grew only internally, in all of our minds ). Yes , so now coming back to the main plot, these children get married and remarried with a new face of Mihir ( actors walking in and out of the show) every other day. Our very own, near and dear Tulsi managing to discard all the sorrows out of everyone’s life keeps the serial running and running and running. Then came another generation leap i.e. Mihir- Tulsi’s children’s children becoming young adults and hence everyone getting a bit more older (with the lose hair of the lady actors being tied up in buns and little grey streaks for the male actors  :-) ) but once again great great grandmother Baa still at ease with walking, talking , eating, cracking jokes and showing all kinds of emotions (please make note of her age once again :D …….I wish we all could have our great great grandparents in a similar way who could be with us always ) Well , the story continues this way but, this time with the main protagonist Tulsi losing her life or identity in an accident :| , and yes you are right she comes back with a changed face ( due to a plastic surgery ) and has a tough time proving herself to the family members. By the time she proves herself the real Tulsi comes and so on and so forth……….

The story goes on and on and on and on……..:D . By now you all must me thinking that I am a vivid watcher of this show who keeps a watch on each and every step and action, but, no please spare me……this all what I came to know from some of the viewers at home i.e. my mom , aunts and some of my neighbors  :|

Well, well, well enough of story telling now…..the BIG show is coming to a halt as per the orders by the Bombay High Court on Thursday November 8, 2008, so as a sign of relief or as to pay tribute to the longest running show on any channel let us all bid adieu to it respectfully :P may be by sparing our 2-3 minutes to the show for the last time  :-)  or by not giving it a single minute :O how far will it matter anyone except our brains which will be rescued from watching a whole lot of confused characters :D

So friends…..have a nice time not watching the show anymore…..and utilising the time in some other useful work :D

I am back!!!!!!

A very Happy Diwali.

I know its quite late wishing diwali now :D ( a week late) but this was asp for me.

My last blog post was on the 24.09.2008 and I had kind of disappeared after that (for a reason ofcourse! ) When I logged in today after 1 month and a week , I excpected some mails (at least 2-3 from some “close” friends asking my whereabouts and similar stuffs, but nothing of this sort was there :(

If any of you are thinking that am I complaining…then you are not wrong! :)   I know the fact that with so many things and people around…how far does it matter if one is not there. But, after all we are humans filled with immense emmotions to overflow any moment. ;) Anyways, without getting more emmotional and touchy let me put this forward to all of you that I am back to share my views and feelings.

But, as you all know I got a little upset today….let this be a welcome back speech for myself :P and excuse me for today but I assure to come back again tommorow with something good and of interest for all of you.

Please spare a moment on this……

Thanks,

Have a nice day!! :)
